How to Clean and Cook Dandelions

How to Make Dandelion Salad

Next time you see dandelions growing in your yard...think salad! I’ve not tried them yet but plan to this spring. Apparently it makes a good salad and the water used for boiling the greens is used for tea.

I used to fertilize my lawn, spray weed killer, and had a vengeance against dandelions. I quit all that and my yard is now all natural. I'm looking forward now to the "weeds" now and look for the benefit they provide us naturally.  Free food, what’s not to love!

Dandelion can also used for loss of appetite, upset stomach, intestinal gas, gallstones, joint pain, muscle aches, eczema, and bruises. Dandelion is also used to increase urine production and as a laxative to increase bowel movements. It is also used as skin toner, blood tonic, and digestive tonic.
